Three Questions with DK Interiors

Currently celebrating ten years in business, Debra Kacher is the founder of DK Interiors, an interior design firm that creates timeless yet stylish bespoke spaces. Debra's project in Hampstead, pictured above, uses our Apollonaire pendant and Ring wall lights to inject warm bronzy tones into a light and airy space.

  • Where in a project is your favourite place to put a feature light?
In a position of prominence such as over a table, framing a door way if wall lights, in an entrance hall for impact. It all depends on the type of light you need to create as well as the impact. We often think of feature lights as almost pieces of art, they can make such a statement if used in the correct way.
  • What is your favourite material/finish to work with at the moment?
Love to use natural and organic materials. I love the combination of marble, brass or bronze metals and tactile textures.
  • What is your favourite CTO product?
Too many to choose from! It all depends on the character, personality, statement you are creating in the project and how the lights compliment all the other elements of the scheme. I love the Ivy pendant for it's flow, impact, organic feel and the form of the Ring wall lights as seen in the project photograph.

CTO Lighting at Avenue Road Vancouver

On our recent road trip to meet our partners in North America, we visited Avenue Road in Vancouver to see how they use CTO lights within their unique space. The showroom shares European talent with North American clients and brings together an impressive range of pieces, including our lights, amongst a stunning backdrop of original beams and stylised arches. Here, the satin brass finish of the Heron Floor and the Abstract Wall refreshes and complements the palette of creams and greys.
