We are proud to announce that, after the success of EDIDA
China, last Thursday night the Immersion bathtub designed by Neri&Hu
Design and Research Office won the prestigious EDIDA 2018, the ELLE Deco
International Design Awards, in the Bathroom category.
Voted by the 25 editors-in-chief of ELLE DECORATION around the world, the EDIDA recognizes global excellence in the
interior design world in 13 categories.
The award, handed to Lyndon Neri, Rossana Hu and Emanuele Benedini during
an unforgettable night at the Palazzo della Triennale, is yet another
important milestone in Agape’s prolific collaboration with Neri&Hu.
When it comes to wellbeing, more and more often the western
world looks to eastern cultures for inspiration. That oriental mood
provided the inspiration for the first bathroom project from this Chinese
design practice. The designers approached the theme of bathing by
considering the needs of younger generations who live in small
apartments. Immersion gets around the space issue by following in the
footsteps of traditional oriental bathing vessels: its volume is created
through depth rather than width. Minimal and elegantly proportioned, this
tub is designed to allow a full-body bathing experience.
Not only. During the Milan Design Week some new elements of
the Immersion family have been introduced: a multi-function bench and a washbasin, displayed in the over
countertop or freestanding version. The basin, like the tub, is inspired
by the traditional oriental wooden tubs used in Japan and China and, with
its elegant and subtle edge, makes use of the latest innovations in the
field of Cristalplant® processing.
